Recycled & Upcycled Cotton
Cotton is a commodity we can reuse in two ways. Through re- and upcycling, we can make sure that old clothing, cutting scraps and by-products from the cotton industry get a second life in our accessories.
By using these methods, we save tons of virgin materials, giving new life to post-consumer garments, cutting scraps and by-products, dump less on landfills, reduce C02 emission and decrease significant amounts of water and pesticides used. Putting less stress on the planet, benefiting all of us.
The result: recycling waste as your new fashion accessory, we want to make you look good in our Aware® re-/upcycled cotton accessories.
Organic cotton is cotton that is produced and certified to organic agricultural standards. Its production sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people by using natural processes rather than artificial inputs. Importantly organic cotton farming does not allow the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs (genetically modified organisms). Instead, it combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved.
BCI stands for Better Cotton Initiative and focuses on the well-being of the farmers that grow cotton, on the environment it grows in. BCI strives to better the cotton sector’s reputation by promoting sustainable solutions. BCI aims to discourage and reduce the amount of chemicals used in the industry while promoting the idea of recycling and improving the quality of life of cotton farmers.
